Range Policies

RANGE RULES

All firearms must be brought into the range in a case, bag, box, or holster.

Prior to using the range, a waiver must be filled out (this only needs to be done one time). Parents will need to have any minor children who will be accompanying them to the range added to their waiver.

Only two (2) shooters can share a lane. If you have a party greater than two (2), you will need to rent additional lanes.

All universal firearms safety rules apply here at our range.

Do not handle firearms outside of your lane. All firearms must be cased until you are in your assigned lane and in front of the firing line (red line painted on the range floor).

Eye and ear protection is required to be worn at all times when out on the range.

Food or drink of any kind is not permitted out on the range.

Any and all instructions given by the Range Safety Officer (RSO) are to be followed. Arguing, debating, showing aggression, or disrespect to any of our range staff will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the range.

If an RSO witnesses a customer commit multiple minor or a single severe safety violation, the shooter will forfeit their remaining lane time and must leave the range.  No refund will be provided for forfeited lane time due to safety violations.

Customers are responsible for cleaning up their stall (throwing targets, ammo boxes, or other refuse) and sweeping the spent casings forward of their booth and on to the range before leaving. The RSO is there for the safety of all shooters on the range.

RANGE DAMAGE

If you cause any damage to the range, you will be assessed a monetary fee and will be excused from the range. Strikes above the “Do Not Shoot” line on the hangars will result in a $5 per hole fee. Carrier impacts will be assessed a $25 fee (no warning will be given). Damage to the booths will be charged dependent on the cost of repair. No range fees will be refunded if your session is terminated due to range damage.

“LAST CALL”

“Last call” for customers to use the range is 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) prior to store closing (please see store hours). No new shooters will be admitted to the range after last call.

CLASS ENROLLMENT AND RESCHEDULE/CANCELLATION

To sign up for a class, you must be 18 or older.  For a minor to attend a class, they must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian who must also be enrolled in the class.

For handgun classes, if you are between the ages of 18-20 and did not bring your own firearm and/or ammunition, you must be accompanied by someone over the age of 21.

For classes to be conducted, a minimum enrollment must be achieved.  If that minimum has not been met within 48 hours of the start date/time, the class will be cancelled and we will notify students about rescheduling.  Rescheduling to another date will be done free of charge, or you can cancel your class and receive a full refund.

If you sign up for a class and are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations/reschedules must be made no later than 5 days prior to the start of the class in order to be issued a refund minus a 10% administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made 0-4 days prior to the start of class. You are only permitted to reschedule a class 1 (one) time.

CLASS PREREQUISITES AND STUDENT GEAR REQUIREMENTS

Some of the classes we offer here at The Outpost Armory, such as our DP (Defensive Pistol) series and AR series, have certain prerequisites that a student must have met prior to enrolling in the class.  This is done to ensure that students are in a class that is appropriate for their skill level.  If you are wanting to skip a level or believe you met the necessary prerequisite, you must provide physical documentation that shows prior equivalent training OR receive permission from the Outpost Armory Assistant Training Director.

If you are signed up for a class that requires certain gear/equipment, please ensure that you have read and understood the student packing list for each class and bring the necessary items with you.  If you show up to class and do not have the required equipment, such as an authorized holster or sling, you will not be permitted to participate in that class.
