Defensive Pistol Program
Defensive Pistol Program
The Defensive Pistol Program is a new program designed to help students develop essential defensive shooting skills. The program focuses on both objective and performance based training. Utilizing motor learning and skill-acquisition science, DPP ensures participants are equipped with the knowledge and practical experience needed to effectively use a pistol in a defensive context.
DPP is broken up into 5 modules; each module builds upon the previous lesson to achieve the best results for students. The end goal of this program is for students to maximize long term retention of the material. In order to achieve this, the frequency in which the training is conducted is important. These modules are designed to be completed no more than 1 week (7 days) apart from each other, but no more frequent than one module per day. This gives the students the greatest opportunity to take the information and transfer it from their short term memory to their long term memory.
This program is also a “high repetition” class, meaning it gives students plenty of practice with the particular skills being taught. It also allows our instructors to give you the coaching you need in order to achieve the best end result.
Currently, the Defensive Pistol Program will be offered as a private (one-on-one) class.
In total, you will be receiving over 20 hours of individual instruction and fire somewhere between 500-750 rounds of ammunition.
The cost of the program is $750 per person.
This program is built around concealed carry. In order to take this class, you will need the following equipment:
